Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using TruMile ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

TruMile is a mileage tracking application that helps you:

• Track trips and calculate distances using GPS
• Classify trips for tax deduction purposes
• Calculate mileage deductions based on IRS standard rates
• Generate mileage reports
• Track vehicle expenses, fuel purchases, and maintenance

Subscriptions and Payments

Free and Premium Features

TruMile offers both free features and a premium subscription ("TruMile Premium") with additional functionality.

Subscription Terms

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through your Apple ID account
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will not affect your current billing period but will apply upon renewal. We will provide notice of price changes through the App or App Store.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple according to their refund policies.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when entering trip and vehicle data
• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Not use the App while driving or in any way that could endanger yourself or others
• Verify all mileage calculations and deductions with a qualified tax professional

Tax Disclaimer

TruMile is a tracking tool, not tax advice.

While we strive to use current IRS mileage rates and provide accurate calculations, you are solely responsible for:

• Verifying that your trips qualify for tax deductions
• Maintaining adequate records for tax purposes
• Consulting with a qualified tax professional regarding your specific situation
• Filing accurate tax returns

We make no guarantees that deduction calculations will be accepted by the IRS or any tax authority.

Location Services

TruMile uses your device's location services to track trips. By enabling location permissions, you acknowledge that:

• GPS accuracy varies based on device, environment, and conditions
• Recorded distances are estimates and may differ from actual distances
• Background location tracking uses battery power

Intellectual Property

TruMile and all associated content, features, and functionality are owned by Amalama Labs and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Distance calculations will be completely accurate
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• Data will never be lost or corrupted

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AMAL AMA LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of data or records
• Inaccurate mileage calculations
• Denied tax deductions
• Any damages arising from your use of the App

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or App Store.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
